Well, it's March and spring is upon us. The Media Diversity Council has come a long way in the last two years. We now serve almost 500 students and professionals across Texas and next Tuesday will be our second annual Show Your Reel Portfolio Awards at GSD&M Idea City. Students have attended our free tours of media companies and submitted their portfolios to be reviewed by professionals. We’ll recognize the best work and award our first cash scholarship.  

As with last year’s Show Your Reel finalists, students are eligible to become Media Protégés and participate in job shadow activities, service learning projects and internships. Media Protégés broadcasted a live webcast to thousands of students across Texas from the George Bush Presidential Library & Museum in College Station on The Life of a Buffalo Soldier. .
